‘Designs for Learning’ was the first conference to bring together schools, local authorities, construction sector and designers from across the UK, to hear from students and teachers talk about what works outdoors.

The conference was a unique opportunity to discuss creative designs and question those setting the agenda for educational capital programmes.

Other speakers at the event included: Richard Simmons, the Chief Executive of CABE; Mairi Johnson, Director of Design Partnerships for Schools (PfS); Jonathon Porritt the Founder/Director, Forum for the Future; and Robin Hammerton, OFSTED.
