With open green space at a premium in the centre of cities, yet evidence across the globe clearly demonstrating how people are happier, more active and suffer from less stress when in close contact with nature and in living greener areas, we set our stall.
We conceived a Vertical Square together with Arup - 12 tilted ovals weaving ‘Wilderness Walks’ combining panoramic rooftop views with close up experience through the tree canopies.
Rooted in the historic oval of the square, the ‘Wilderness Worke’ drew together nearly 300 years of design thinking without comparison globally. A destination with appeal to all generations throughout the year and a green stepping stone to encourage further green routes between the green spaces of the prestigious West End of London.
With all gradients set to be accessible, this was an inclusive offer for this international ideas competition to help rebrand and reimagine the Grosvenor Estate of the future.
Grosvenor Square is close to our completed work at the Hertford hotel in Park Lane Mews.
