Adam has been a key member of the Colour team for over 13 years and was part of the first cohort to gained Technician Membership of the Landscape Institute – a strong endorsement of his experience, knowledge and practical problem solving abilities - the ability to simplify complexity.
Always approaching a challenge calmly, these highly technical skills ensure that projects are delivered smoothly, on programme and to the highest standards. This is reflected in his promotions over the years.
With certification in both AutoCad and Revit, within the collaborative world of BIM, Adam’s work spans detailed hard landscape packages, SuDS integration and coordination on complex urban projects.
Adam was part of the team that developed the groundbreaking ‘BIM for Landscape’ book by Colour in 2013 in a Knowledge Transfer Partnership with Teesside University. Collaboratively with the BIM Academy, Adam helped to win both the Build Sydney Live and Build Newcastle Live 48 hour challenges.
As a team player, his knowledge supports colleagues in the studio and wider design teams in the many aspects of design and production at all stages of projects.
Adam makes the most of his spare time and usually can be found walking his dogs, listening to music, tinkering on with cars or making furniture.
As much as I love the ins and outs of Landscape Architecture and all that it entails, I think it would be quite an experience to compete in something like the Paris Dakar Rally, or a revived Camel Trophy expedition.
