Derby Leisure Pool Complex
Colour were appointed in 2017 to provide landscape architectural services for the development of design proposals for this new pool complex adjacent to an existing park and leisure facilities. The wider site context heavily influenced the development of our design proposals, which enhance the existing undulating landform to provide a setting for the new building and provide a series of green links to adjacent parkland and ancient woodland. Initial proposals sought to create an ‘active landscape’ with ancillary recreation features such as table tennis tables and climbing walls being integrated into the external environment.
