Forth Yards, Newcastle

Connecting the River Tyne in its prime with Newcastle city centre and its national railway station, the Forth Yards is truly outstanding - a river, rail and road gateway to the city.

Founded on a rigorous understanding of the challenging baseline constraints that informed our prior work gaining the planning approval of the Calders site with Faulkner Browns, Colour have developed a vision for Newcastle City Council that captures iconic views, industrial heritage and benefits of proximity that will forever change the perception of this brownfield site.

Transformative 21st Century urban living for up to 2500 homes is proposed within green and blue infrastructure that would support social, active and healthy lifestyles for all. We are proud to see this phenomenal site being promoted by Homes England and the North East Combined Authority.
