With over 12 years’ practice, Brian plays a key role developing digital innovation and managing technical efficiency within Colour.
Having qualified as an architectural technologist and originally joined as a CAD/BIM technologist, Brian has been progressively promoted to a senior role within the studio.
Leading technical design across city‑centre public realm, health estate and leisure projects nationwide in a coordinating BIM role, he brings teams together early, anticipates risks and through production guides schemes through detailed design to successful construction.
Key projects include the multilevel Milburngate waterfront development in Durham, in a full BIM environment; a Specialist Block at Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary; and mental health estate improvements at Northgate Hospital in Morpeth. Recent work includes high‑quality residential developments in Newcastle and Mayfair - achieving a challenging Urban Greening Factor.
Brian enjoys spending as much time with his young family as possible and is an ultra-marathon runner.
Known for his strong interpersonal, organisational and time‑management skills, Brian is a valued colleague and mentor, supporting the technical and professional growth of younger team members. He continually expands his expertise, with certification in AutoCad and Revit. He was one of the first Technician Members of the Landscape Institute.
