David Sokoya

Landscape Designer

MA Landscape Architecture, Leeds Becket University, 2026

BA Architecture, Manchester School of Architecture, 2021

“Design gives me what cinema, reading and music always have: the chance to step into another world. My dream is to create a landscape that feels like walking into a movie.”

David joined the York studio after graduating in 2026 following a successful student work placement when he contributed to live projects with offline graphic and spatial studies.  With both a landscape and an architectural background, David’s strength in evidence-based research to inform a vision that is converted into a structured spatial concept are important facet of the Colour design process and client offering with engaging visual material.

He is particularly interested in the social and cultural aspects of what Landscape Architecture can achieve to make life better.
